It Started With a Sixteen-Year-Old Facing Back Surgery
That was Robert Hochstein, before anyone called him Dr. Bob. Surgery was on the table. Someone suggested he see a chiropractor first.
He never had the operation.
That is why County Line exists. Dr. Bob opened the first clinic in Miami Gardens in 1986 on the idea that people in pain deserve to understand all of their options. Four decades later, six clinics across Miami-Dade and Broward still run on it.

Still a Family Practice
Dr. Bob’s daughter, Dr. Laura Hochstein, D.C., is County Line’s Chief Operating Officer. His nephew, Dr. Joseph Hochstein, D.C., is Clinic Director at our North Miami Beach location.
Both grew up watching Dr. Bob work — going along to the office, seeing people walk in hurting and walk out moving better. Neither had to be talked into this.
In a field with a lot of turnover, that continuity is worth something. The family whose name is on the building is still in the building.
What We Actually Do Differently
We Only Treat Accident Injuries
Most chiropractic offices see a mix of everything. We don’t. Our doctors spend their entire practice on injuries caused by impact — whiplash, disc injuries, soft tissue damage, the things that show up after a collision. That focus is the whole point.
We Look for What Isn’t Obvious
An emergency room’s job is to rule out what could kill you — bleeding, fractures, head trauma. That is exactly what an ER should do, and if you were taken to one, they did their job.
But soft tissue injuries often don’t announce themselves on the day of the crash. Neck stiffness that starts on day three. Numbness in a hand that turns up a week later. Our examinations are built to look specifically for those, because that is what we do all day.
We Document Everything From Day One
Your recovery needs a record. We document your findings, your treatment, and your progress from your first visit — for your PIP claim, and for your attorney if you have one.
You do not need a lawyer to be treated here. If you have one, we will work with them. If you don’t, that’s fine too.
The Doctors Who Will Actually Treat You
Every patient at County Line is seen by a licensed doctor of chiropractic. Here’s who you’ll meet.
Se habla español. Nou pale kreyòl. Dr. Vivian Solivan, D.C. and other members of our team see patients in Spanish, and Creole-speaking staff are available.
Florida Gives You 14 Days
Under Florida’s PIP law, you have 14 days from the date of your accident to seek treatment in order to preserve your Personal Injury Protection benefits. Miss that window and those benefits may no longer be available to you.
That is the single most important thing to know after a crash, and most people don’t hear it until it’s late. If your accident was recent, call us — evaluations are often available the same day.
We Bill Your Insurer Directly
For auto accidents, we bill your PIP carrier directly. You don’t have to file anything with your insurance company yourself.
If you were injured in a slip and fall or another incident where auto insurance doesn’t apply, we treat those patients under a letter of protection arranged through your attorney.
Treatment Without a Prescription Pad
County Line doesn’t write prescriptions. That isn’t a limitation — it’s the point.
Chiropractic care approaches accident injuries physically: spinal adjustments, physical therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, heat and ice, shockwave therapy, and at-home exercise your doctor walks you through. The goal is to address what’s actually injured rather than mask what you’re feeling.
For a lot of accident patients, that matters. Painkillers have a role in acute injury care, and if you need them that’s a conversation for your medical doctor. But if you would rather start with an approach that doesn’t involve them, that is the approach we practice.
Your doctor will explain what they find, what treatment involves, and what to expect at each stage — before anything begins.
